1. Controller

SMA-Apps

The controller determines the purposes and means of processing related to LED Strip Remote.

2. Data We Process

• Technical data: device model, OS version, language, country, time zone, device identifiers, Advertising ID.
• Usage data: basic screen interactions and events (e.g., connect to device, send color).
• Network: IP address (for network communications) and settings you configure locally (e.g., host/port for Wi-Fi controller). We do not send these settings to our servers; they are used on-device to communicate with your controller.
• Advertising (AdMob): advertising identifiers, ad impressions, performance metrics and, if you allow, personalization data.
• Support (if you contact us): name, email, and the information you provide.

Location: the app may request permissions that Android associates with “location” to scan for Bluetooth LE devices. We do not access or store your GPS location; the permission is a technical requirement on certain Android versions.

3. Permissions

• BLUETOOTH / BLUETOOTH_SCAN / BLUETOOTH_CONNECT: discover, connect and control compatible BLE devices.
• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION: required by Android for BLE scanning; we do not use GPS.
• INTERNET: show ads (AdMob) and, if you configure Wi-Fi control, communicate with your controller (UDP/HTTP).

4. Purposes & Legal Basis

• App functionality (contract/service): control LED strips via BLE/Wi-Fi/IR; local preferences.
• Improvement & diagnostics (legitimate interest): stability and aggregate, non-identifiable usage metrics.
• Advertising (consent / legitimate interest depending on region): display AdMob ads and measure performance.
• Support (consent): respond to your requests.

5. Third Parties (AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may process data such as advertising identifiers, IP address, ad metrics and, if you consent, personalization data.

In regions where consent is required (e.g., EEA/UK), we may present a consent prompt before loading ads. You will be able to change your choice when we enable that control in the app.

6. International Transfers

When using third-party services such as Google, your data may be processed outside your jurisdiction. Google applies appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) as applicable.

7. Data Retention

• Local data (Wi-Fi settings, preferences): remain on your device until you uninstall the app or clear app data.
• Advertising: according to Google/AdMob policies and their retention periods.
• Support: until we resolve your request and, if applicable, for legal retention periods.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g., GDPR in the EEA), you may have the right to:

• Access, rectification, erasure.
• Restriction of processing and objection.
• Data portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time (e.g., for personalized ads).
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

9. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

10. Children

Our app is not directed to children under the age required by local law. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us to remove it.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version and update the “Last updated” date.
